Statement of Independence
Statement of Independence
Objectivity and independence are the lifeline of research credibility.
1. Research Position Independence
- Non-agency principle: CRR is an independent observation project and does not represent the position of any government agency, commercial organization, tourism promotion entity, or AI development platform. Our research agenda, city selection, and sampling dimensions are entirely based on the research methodology independently formulated by this project.
- Non-evaluative orientation: This project refuses to participate in any form of city ranking, scoring, or qualitative judgment of good or bad. Our responsibility is to record "what the algorithm presents," not to judge "how the city performs."
2. Economic and Commercial Neutrality
- Rejection of paid intervention: CRR strictly prohibits any form of "paid beautification" or "targeted smearing." Even when accepting customized audit commissions, we strictly adhere to standardized audit process protocols.
- Audit procedure consistency: Custom reports and public reports adopt identical technical standards and evidence collection logic. The commissioning party can define the observation object (such as a specific landmark), but cannot intervene in the authentic recording and objective presentation of audit results.
- No conflict of interest: Our researchers do not accept any sponsorship or remuneration from interview subjects (cities and related stakeholders) that may affect audit impartiality.
3. Objectivity of Technology and Evidence
- Evidence anchoring: All audit conclusions must be anchored to immutable original AI platform conversation links. This "evidence is conclusion" model eliminates the possibility of artificial narrative embellishment.
- Algorithmic mirror theory: We regard AI output as an "objective mirror" of the digital world. Reports only reflect the true state of this mirror; researchers have no right to subjectively rewrite or filter mirror content.
4. Operational and Identity Isolation
- Distributed anonymous research: This project operates in an anonymous research group model. This mechanism aims to eliminate geopolitical biases that may arise from personal background, nationality, or social relationships, ensuring that the observation perspective always remains in a globalized, technical neutral dimension.
- Rejection of PR penetration: We do not participate in any city's official public relations activities, nor do we serve as a publicity channel for any institution.
5. Scientific Nature of Governance Recommendations
Technical orientation: The narrative governance recommendations provided by CRR are based solely on information dissemination science, data science, and algorithmic logic. The recommendations aim to improve information accuracy by optimizing public data sources, rather than changing reputation through public opinion manipulation.
6. Continuous Statement and Appeals
CRR commits to regularly reviewing its own research processes to ensure continued compliance with international think tank independence standards. If you have any questions about the independence of any report published on this site, please contact our compliance team through the official academic channel (research@cityreputationreports.org).
